It means Roy Hodgson's men will face a reunion with Andrea Dossena in a first ever meeting with Diego Maradona's former club.
Liverpool last faced Steaua back in the 2003-04 season when Gerard Houllier's men secured a 2-1 aggregate success in the UEFA Cup, second round.
