About Sami

Unsung hero of the decade: Jamie Carragher seems the obvious one but has become very much a sung hero. Sami Hyypia gets it for me. Ten years' service until last year (and what we would give for him to still be here), won every domestic and Euro cup he was able to whilst with us, never whinged and whined about anything, including when he lost the captaincy, and just got on with it every week. Rarely had a bad game - a true servant and a true hero.  Remember his volley against Juve?

Best signing of the decade: Except for the fact that he signed a few months before the start of the decade, my choice would have been Sami Hyypia.

Unsung hero of the decade: Sami Hyypia, without question - a gentleman and legend. The emotion he showed after his final game for LFC gave a great insight into what this club meant to him.

Unsung hero of the decade: Sami Hyypia. Apart from being a great defender, he was a fantastic servant to the club and a model professional.

Unsung hero of the decade: Sami Hyypia. Probably one of the best defenders I've seen put on the red shirt. Solid as a rock and quite capable of scoring one or two! Rarely got the praise he deserved I thought.

Unsung hero of the Decade: Undoubtedly Sami Hyypia. A model professional who never gave Liverpool or the supporters a moment's bother in his time with the club. Consistently high performances including last season where he brought his experience to bear. How we could have done with Sami's calming influence this season!

I realise that my posts are very biased and Sami-heavy, I'll promise I'll do better in the future. ;)
