There is nothing better than starting your morning with a skate. I got up at 8, went to the park at 8:30. I talked to this homeless guy, Louis, for a bit. He's 46. He's probably one of the smartest people I've ever talked to. If I decided my main goal this year is to just learn about life, I'd go talk to him every morning for an hour for a year and I'd only be able to hope that I'd be a quarter of how smart he is. I personally love talking to homeless people. Not the drunk ones who stumble around and pull knives on you, but the ones that make you wonder why they're there.
Calgary's got so many homeless people, it's disgusting. Considering that have such a huge drop-in and there're still people sleeping on the stairs to theatre and on the sidewalks against buildings, it's awful. People always say "Oh they're bums, they can get a job, it's their fault." I guess I understand where they're coming from, but it's astounds me that they're not sympathetic. Downtown Calgary you'll always see atleast 10 homeless people before you leave. I'm always there in the morning and going past the people sleeping on stairs and against buildings, and little areas where you can tell someone's set up camp, I don't understand how you can't feel for them. I don't think enough people care is all.
Even though I studied america, I don't think I know where any states are, with the exception of alaska, california, hawaii, washington and florida. Like Ohio. Where the hell's that? Canada's so much easier. It's not a mish-mash of 50 places that all sound the same. It's straight across, 10 provinces, and then straight across 3 territories. Nice and easy.
savingxtomorrow: Yeah, it's good...do you like it...down south? I don't even know where kentucky is
StephMose812: yeah sort of south ... it's right below indiana and above tennessee if that helps at all? but yeah, i like it
And case.
Stay Gold.
