Yeah. I keep having meditation as one in a list of many, and then it is the one that falls by the wayside when I get very busy....when in fact it is the one that I would be best served to stick to like glue. So a new exercise in sticking. What's your one for the year?

i'm planning to start this! i know i don't need-need a cushion for it, but i got one specially to mark the start of this as a hopefully-regular thing in my life!

A rolled up blanket works fine for a cushion! Good luck. I practice TM, which is non-religious and practical.

a very good friend of mine used to do a lot of TM, and even went to a TM-based high school years ago. i don't know much about it myself though.

You went to a TM based HIGH SCHOOL? How cool is that! Where? Iowa? Where are you located now?

There are TM teachers lurking everywhere, so if you just start searching, one will appear. The training is not a huge commitment, but it is a commitment, and it does cost money. It is worth every nickel.

Still haven't established a routine and rarely sit for more than 10 minutes. Year is more than half over. Time to get on the ball.
