Nurses Sing the DNR Song

DNR means DO NOT RESUSCITATE. When a patient in the hospital is in very bad shape, and everyone including them knows they are going to die soon no matter what medical miracles are applied, it is a great relief to see a DNR order on their chart. When I worked for hospice, I had heard that some doctors/facilities prefer to use the term "Do Not ATTEMPT to Resuscitate" as it acknowledged that fact that in the vast majority of cases - it was futile anyway.

So true. In many cases people die while being beaten upon and shocked, instead of passing peacefully. It's awful.

Didn't watch the video before. ZOMFG! That's hilarious! I can see the hospice nurses that I used to work with liking that a lot!
