4 cups water
1/2 cup teff grain (not flour)
1/2 cup GF oats
Add grains when water is at low boil. Stir, turn down heat, and stir frequently. Really frequently, if your teff likes to boil over as much as mine does! Did mention you should stir it? Cook for between 10-15 minutes, or until sufficiently gloopy.
Remove from heat, spoon out about 1/2 cup of mixture; add maple syrup to taste & 2 or 3 dates chopped into big chunks.
Not bad!! Still need to overcome the "green" or "grasshoppery" taste of the teff, but - dang, I love that stuff! Hooray for iron.
