Valentine's Day Math
First we did each individual color in groups of ten and ones. Then we wrote them down. Arden's getting very good at writing her numbers. We discussed the various tens: ten, twenty, thirty, forty...
Then after doing each color, we put them all together into one big group of tens and talked about how 10 groups of 10 makes ONE HUNDRED. Then we had six extra groups of ten making SIXTY. Then an extra SIX!
