OK, people have been bugging me for not posting lately, so I thought
I'd take a quick LJ break while I'm waiting for a package to compile on
my customer's Linux box...
For those who don't know already, I'm going to Spain! Yes, Espania,
home of Inigo Montoya. I leave with two good friends next Thursday and
we'll be there for two weeks -- woo hoo! So far, we plan to spend time
in Madrid, Sevilla, and Barcelona, to tour the castles and ruins around
Madrid, and take some day trips and visit some smaller towns in the
south of Spain.
In other news: Tim decides to go to work for The Man... not really, but
I have just accepted a full-time salaried position with a start-up
company in Seattle (currently head-quartered in the Bank of America
Building.) So now I have to wrap up my newest contract, and try to
prepare my customers, all before I leave for Spain. Some of my
customers I think I'll be able to keep, as much of the work I do for
them can be done off-hours and at my own pace. Anyway, I start with the
new company the day I get back from Spain. I'm sure I won't be very
useful that day... :)
On a completely different note: has anyone else heard that Christopher Walken may be running for president (
walken2008.com) in the next election? [edit: the preceding site is a hoax. Walken isn't planning to run. bummer.]
