--I've met with a couple caterers and am waiting for quotes. Will check out a couple more.

--Centerpieces and favors will be a little like this: http://weddingdish.thinklikeabride.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/Centerpieces-herbs.jpg except pot colors will be silvers and whites/pearls.
--Flowers will be white.
--I go for my first dress-search Monday the 17th at Alfred Angelo in S.Austin.

--I'm reserving some rooms with a lower rate at Comfort Suites... But I think I might be able to find a nicer deal at a better hotel if I look carefully. Anyone want to find a NICE hotel near the venue for less than $85/night???
--We're registered at Macy's, REI, and Target. Most stuff is registered at Macy's. When looking in Target, be sure to look under WEDDING.
--I've picked a photographer but I still need to sign a contract and send her a deposit, otherwise another girl will get her that day.
--I've asked Sid from TUMC to officiate our ceremony.
--We probably aren't doing a "Groom's cake" because they don't do that in Peru and it's something easy to cut from the list!
--Randie/me/my mom/whoever will be chopping up my mother's wedding dress to make the ringbearer [Julian, godson]'s pillow and some pretty wraps for the bouquets.
--Mizz Suzie is my florist! Booyah!
--Merri is MoH; Julian is ringbearer if he isn't too scared. Manuel Alejandro is BM. Go facebook them! And Marcelo if you haven't already!
--My mother and Jeannie are coming to town the 22nd to check out stuff, look for a bridal shower venue, etc. Hopefully we can find me a dress!
--All you girls who want to can fight tooth and nail for what to do about the bachelorette party. My only request is that it happens BEFORE school starts [August 25th].
