I had the best birthday EVER. It was a strange combination of realizing how many great people I have in my life, and how many people aren't as prevalent in my life as I had previously thought. Friday night Cameron and Cass took me bar hopping after going to dinner with like 20 people, then Jesse, Sonja, Jamie, Nathan, Cassie, Duncan and Becca all went on 3 brew tours with me on Saturday, and me Jesse and Sonja were drunk by like 3 pm like champions.
Saturday night Sarah, Amy and I had a freaking blast being spontaneous! We saw 27 Dresses and laughed about being over emotional during chick flicks, screamed our heads off in the car, raced jeeps down timblerline, and ran around king soopers. Then we decided to have a party but it was too cold outside, so we made sparkling kool-aid and blared music in the elevator and had a freaking blast.
Sunday Piotr took me out for coffee and bought me a delicious birthday cake!! It was so sweet of him, he even bought the number candles so my cake said "21"! After we hung out for a bit, Jenna and I headed down to Denver, stopped by my brothers bar and got him out of work, went over to my dad's, had a suprisingly nice dinner with him complete with yummy margaritas, and then went to go see the #3 love of my life, LUPE FIASCO!!
What an amazing concert, wow. Last time I saw him he only played for 30 minutes, and because most of his songs feature someone else, he pretty much just played a recording a sang over it. Last night he played two and a half hours and the first half he told a little story and played his first cd, then he took a little break and played most of his new cd. Not only that but he brought Matthew Santos, Sarah Greene, Gem Stones, and Gemini with him, meaning everyone he features in his songs except for Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z, and Jill Scott were there. So good, amazing even.
Today I'm going out to lunch with Carrie, then hanging out with Libby. And tomorrow classes start, boo.
