I met Eric at Somerset on Saturday. He was taller and thinner but still really cute in his quirky way, and I was so glad to see him. We walked and talked and shopped. I bought a present for my mom, and then he was hungry, and we went into this candy store and he bought a bag of candy for us. After we had sat and talked at a table in the food court for a while, he asked me if I wanted to go back to his house and ride bikes. I thought that sounded so cute, so we left the mall.
On the way to his car we decided it was too cold and windy to ride bikes, so he took me to see his house and then he asked if I wanted to drive around Birmingham, and I said sure. He showed me his school, some pretty churches (even though he's Jewish, lol), and a bunch of gorgeous houses. Then he drove me through downtown Birmingham, which was adorable. Everything was hung with garlands and lights, and we passed a horse-drawn carriage. We didn't get to take a class together at his studio like we wanted to, but hopefully that'll work out sometime. When we hugged goodbye, he said he wanted to do the pas de deux we learned at Joffrey before he forgets it, which means he must have remembered it, which is crazy-cute.
Unfortunately, I didn't find a way to squeeze in the little tidbit about my breakup with Ben. I didn't want to sound desperate. Even though I am a little, lol. I want to freaking kiss someone again. Plus I am actually attracted to Eric, which is more than I can say about anyone else at the moment. Sigh.
And then, today, I went down to Toledo to see my cousin Elias perform as a little party boy in their version of Nutcracker. I can't believe it. During Snow, my eyes just turned into miniature waterfalls. Heck, they weren't even good, but they had a children's choir singing, the set was really pretty, "snow" was falling onto the stage, and their ending was a lot like ours, with the two diagonals and the sled coming across...and that was it. Sob city. People must have been alarmed to look at me when the lights came up for intermission. Snow was always my favorite. I'm going to miss it so much.
And now I have a mountain of homework to do, since I pretty much packed my weekend with parties and fun things, so now of course I have to pay for it. Ugggggh. Good thing I don't have dance this week (well...sort of), because I would die.
