whoa

Wow, that was pretty much the weirdest thing that's ever happened to me. I went to the orthopedic clinic today just to make sure that my extra bone thingy wasn't dangerous at all. The doctor explained to me what had happened...basically, when I was growing, some extra cartiledge grew up past my knee, and it's just kept growing really slowly ever since. He said it was a benign growth, I didn't need to worry unless it was causing me any pain or if it started growing rapidly, he was just supposed to tell me as a precaution that there was a one-in-a-million chance it could turn cancerous but that had never actually happened to anybody with that problem yet, blah blah blah.

I hate doctor's offices, hospitals, the thought of the slightest tiny thing being wrong with me. Everything the guy said I had been expecting, I wasn't that worried...the worst case scenario was that it kept growing, started being painful, I would get it removed, and it would take about three months for me to return to my normal activity level. I don't know. Maybe it was the final straw, a final stress that I just couldn't handle. The room started getting really hot, and my stomach was suddenly uneasy. I could tell the guy was almost done talking, but all I could think about was getting out of that room. I just wanted to leave.

Next thing you know, I'm on the floor. I've never passed out before. Weirdest thing was, it was kind of refreshing. I couldn't have been out for more than a couple of seconds, but it felt like hours. When I woke up I wasn't worried at all anymore. The only bad thing was that I hit my head on a freaking chair on the way down. But I guess it wasn't all bad...my daddy let me stay home from school, lol.
