Wedding Blessing
What is a candle but potential light
Illumining love as a beacon;
New and renewing, ancient and bright --
What is a flame but a moment?
What is a ring but a circle of time
A binding unbroken: in witness
Hearts and hands joining as lives intertwine --
What is a ring but a promise?
Tempered in flame, the circle is strong
Life made the greater by sharing
Drink of compassion all your days long
Encompassed in Love ever growing
