Love Love, Kiss Kiss...Blah, Blah, Blah
So it's Valentine's Day. I personally don't give much of a shit about the holiday, since it's just a big stressball of worrying over making the right plans and buying the right gifts and the worrisome debate of whether or not to buy your girlfriend the quintessential chocolates because there's always the chance she'll pull the fat card.
On the other hand, considering how busy human beings are nowadays, it's good to have a designated day to put things on pause and celebrate having a special someone in your life. In a perfect world we should celebrate that every day, but then nothing would ever get done, am I right?
So no, I do not have a Valentine, and no, I don't have any plans for the day. This has 5% to do with the fact that I have no aforementioned Valentine, and a good 95% to do with the fact that I had a 12-hour-long practice yesterday and this is my first full day off in about a month.
But anyway, I'm determined to accomplish absolutely nothing today, and that may or may not include hunting down Valentine's Day on the interwebz, because for some reason I feel like watching the ultimate commercialized box-office draw of chick flicks. Go figure.
But before that, I wanted to listen to some happy love music. And then I was like, hey, why not make a mix? And then I decided to make two mixes: Side A with the happy love music, and Side B with the haters-on-the-left music (because sometimes, we all have the urge to go all Jennifer Garner on a heart-shaped pinata).
So yah. Here's we go. Keep in mind that I have weak spot for song covers and electric guitar, so there's a batload of covers in here. Ten, to be exact. And forgive the crappy cheesy cover pics, they were quick little things I whipped up after a trip down Google Images and screencapping the trailers for Valentine's Day with my meager Photoshop skills.
