BLOOD ALONE MOVES THE WHEELS OF HISTORY

Today when I walked by the Farmer's Market I saw very, very dark purple peppers for the first time. They were lying next to pure white ones. I asked about them, and found out they're chocolate and ivory peppers, respectively, and that the former tastes bitter like raw chocolate.

I thought that was awesome... until I found out that they're the result of genetic modification! Yikes.

Cleaned out two drawers in the office so far this week. They were junk drawers; anything kiddie-like was filched for prizes for a fund raiser this weekend. Everything else went to the thrift store and food pantry in town. (There was so much it took two trips!)

I found a 35 mm camera that I believe works. It has batteries in it, but I need film (do pharmacies and drug stores still sell rolls of film?) The vintage factor strikes me again...

film, farmers market, my office, food, the office
