I try yet again...
ok, so I think it has been very well proven that I am horrible at this whole online journal thing, but I still refuse to give up!
Man, sooooooo many exciting things are happening right now for me. I want to tell you all about them, but I will attempt to keep this shorter than a novel:
1. So everything started with a rough situation. I had a hard thing happen and got a little down about it. Had a time of confusion and frustration. Then things went from that to so awesome. I'm gonna quote a new friend here cause he kinda sums it up well:
"Have you ever had something happen and think
oh man I wish...blah blah blah
then to relize that God has just worked
in a miraculous way and saved me
from sooo much trouble?"
Yeah, that is the conclusion I have come to, because I can see so clearly now why it happened and why it is so good that it did. It is a good thing God is so much smarter than us. If I was in control of everything in my life based solely on my own "wisdom"...well, that would just be a mess. Well that is as far as I will go on that subject. So on to...
2. I have been praying all year about whether or not I am supposed to be a prayer leader. I have a very tight schedule and many commitments and I didn't want to do this half-heartedly. I really feel now that this is something God is leading me to do so as of now I am officially approved to be a prayer leader next semester. I am really excited about this and have so many plans due to how long I have wanted to do this. Keep this in your prayers. Pray that I am able to keep my priorities in order next semester so I can put my all in this for God and be there for my girls.
3. VERY exciting news! Remember last summer when wrote about helping a P. Steve's church with Tommie and all that? Well, that was one of the best times of my life and I have been praying a lot about a ministry this summer. I wasn't sure whether God wanted me to go on a mission trip, or a summer camp, or at a church. There were so many opportunities here to be effective for God. Well, 2 days ago Tommie asked me my plans for the summer, which I didnt have any yet, so he told me that he and P.Steve are interested in my help again this summer. A Senior to be at Tommie's college in Boston is coming to serve as the youth pastor for the summer at the church and he needs a female to be able help with the female half of the group. You should have seen the smile on my face when he was telling me this. I have actually been hoping that this opportunity would come. I loved last summer sooooo much. I learned and changed so much. I have been praying about a ministry with teen girls, and now I get my church, my home, and my teen girls. I am so extremely excited. I have changed so much at Liberty this year and I can't wait to have another awesome service being effective for my God and letting Him use all the changes He has made in me for His purpose. I look forward to seeing the big things God has planned for this summer. I can tell you this - He has some awesome guys with big plans lined up to make things happen and I am sure some worlds will be rocked. Pray God uses us all this summer to our full potential.
