okay,so i watched american history x.
it made me think so much.
it made me think about people in general. like what gives a person an excuse to be so opinionated and against something, when they have no idea what they're talking about. i understand that the majority of these hate groups are formed of susceptible and vulnerable youth, but why are they like this to begin with? it just bothered me that everyone in that movie who were a part of that neo- nazi group were opinionated and could only see in black and white. get educated for god's sake. the professor says "Has anything you've done [pertaining to the neo- nazi ideology/actions] made your life better?" that movie just had such a strong image and showed how pathetic these hate groups are, i mean, just because something in your life pissed you off, doesn't mean you have to take it out on people that have anything to do with you. what makes you think you're that important anyways? it was amazing to watch how vulnerable these people actually were, and how easily their opinions about each other change as someone changes their view.what gave them the right to hate on someone for changing their opinion about what the group stood for, good for them for realizing that they are better than them and that they want to save their life.
it makes me not understand why immature, close- minded, uneducated people even more. :\ i think im too mature for my own good sometimes.
