'YOU'RE IN THE FAST LANE. BUBBLE GUM BOY!'

Oct 13, 2008 20:57

I haven't written in my livejournal in forever. I mean, I've updated a few times just to keep it active, but I haven't actually used my livejournal in a long long time. This used to be my vent! I don't know how I've gone so long without you!

Well anyway, I guess I should update a few things since it's been that long.

First of all, me and JP broke up. Like, in November. But we've gotten back together and broken back up and yadda yadda a few times since then. But now we're just kinda back to where we were before we started dating in the first place. I don't really know what you'd call it, but we still see eachother and hang out, and act as though we're dating, but technically we aren't. We really don't get along, but I really love him. It's so complicated. But regardless, yeah, we're not together anymore.

Secondly, I turned 21!!!! YAY YAY. On May 27th. It was super amazing fun, I loved every minute of it. But I feel kind of guilty because I told JP that it would be better if he didn't celebrate my birthday with me because we fight ridiculously when we drink together, and I didn't want to ruin the only 21st birthday I ever have. It ended up being fun, but I still feel awful. I know I'd be really hurt if he'd done that to me.

Third, my gram passed away. :[ It was very very sad. At the same time though, I'm happy because I know that she was pretty bad towards the end, and I'm happier knowing that she's not suffering anymore. I really miss her. I found a short video clip of her blowing out her candles on her birthday while I was going through all of my old files the other day. I was stunned when I found it because, as bad as it sounds, I hadn't really thought about it all in a while. We miss you gram.

Halloween is coming fast! I don't even have a costume. :[ I was planning on being a sailor, but the other day Rock told me about her plans for Halloween and told me that she was being a sailor, so I scratched that idea. I know she lives all the way up in Massachusetts, but it's just the point of it.

Me and Jackie have our own apartment now. We used to have our own apartment before, but my parents lived in the apartment below us, so it didn't actually feel like we lived alone. Now they moved to Middletown, and Jackie and I moved into their old apartment. It's so crazy to be 100% on our own. I've never had so much fun in my life. Me and Jack always drive all over, and last weekend we were on our way up to our cottage in Vermont to visit our Grampy. In "Whately" Massachusetts our saab, which we fittingly already call "the wet blanket II" (the original Wet Blanket is my mother's purple taurus - some belt or something is loose and it makes a noise like a flock of geese is following us everywhere we go) broke down in the middle of 91. We heard two big clunks and then I guess the power steering went on it and we pulled off an exit into this antique bookstore parking lot. Some piece holding the fan belt snapped off and the belt went with it. We had to wait around for my mother to come get us in The Wet Blanket I (yay) and have the Saab towed to some place close by. I should probably mention that the problem here is that the Saab is my dad's car, and he makes a point everyday to tell us "Give me the keys to the car.. I don't want you girls driving around burning out the car." The day we broke down, we had stolen the car and he had no idea we had taken it - therefore we couldn't call him and ask for a ride home. Luckily my mom wasn't with my dad and she was able to sneak up and get us. It's been a week and my dad still has no idea.

The funniest part of all of this is that all of that happened a week ago (Sunday) and yesterday was sunday (a week later) and we had just gotten the saab back, and we were already back up in Massachusetts again. We're pushing our luck, I know it.

Anyway, so me and Jack drove all over Connecticut and Massachusetts (I know I'm spelling that wrong) and looked at all the leaves changing color and listened to music and just laughed all day long. That's how it always is with us. I swear we laugh every minute we're together. We have an identical sense of humor, and everything that comes out of her mouth is the funniest thing I've ever heard. And we both have such bad road rage, and everyone around us seems to drive like idiots - even more so than when we're alone - and it makes it ten times funnier. Sometimes we just sit there stunned at the way people drive. omg omg like today we went to Brueggers in Glastonbury so she could get a bagel, and I wanted my coconut iced coffee from dunkin donuts, so we pulled into the dunkin donuts plaza across from TJ Maxx. As we're pulling out of the parking lot, we were waiting for the people pulling in to either go straight, or put their blinkers on to turn so that we could go. ALL OF THE SUDDEN this old jaloppi comes meandering into the parking lot and we sat there waiting for her to either go straight or put her blinker on and turn so we could go.. and all the sudden we realize that she's turning but not using a blinker so jackie starts visibly shaking her head saying "no blinker?! no blinker?!!" and the woman drives right up next to our car, rolling her window down, and pops her puney manly skeleton head with raspberry colored sunglasses out of the window and starts screaming "TRY SOMETHING!! TRYYY SOMETHIIINNGGG!!!!" My sister just kept yelling out the window "NOO BLINKEERRR?!!! NOOO BLINKERRR?? AHHHGHSDFJGHHH" and drove off. I think I literally peed my pants. It turns out jackie knew that man/woman and that she used to shop at Gardiners where Jackie worked when she was in highschool, and I guess that "person" was bitter and horrible and awful even back then. Wow, so funny.

and like, also, I think the funniest thing about hanging out with jackie is that we both notice these tiny little hilarious details about people that like nobody else probably would ever notice. Like this one time, we were driving home from NYC and we were stuck behind this a-hole for like forty five minutes.. And the entire time, this idiot guy was just TRAVELLING in the passing lane and nobody could get around him and we were literally getting so mad that we didn't even know what to do. So finally when this guy noticed that there was a parade of cars lining up behind him, he moved over into the slow lane and jackie zoomed around him. As we passed him, this guy was blowing literally the worlds biggest bubble. And in Jackie's rage, she scowls over at him with the vein popping out of her forehead and screams "YOU'RE IN THE FAST LANE. BUBBLE GUM BOY!"

OH.
MY.
GOD.

I was beside myself with laughter. I didn't even know what to do.

I could probably spend like two weeks trying to write all of the things that have happened while we've been out together, but I lay awake in bed most nights just rolling around with laughter just remembering all of the things that happened that day.. My stomach is sore at the end of the day from laughing so hard.

Anyway, me and Jackie pretty much drove around all day again today - that thing with the lady with the prune colored glasses happened this morning - and then drove around more, and then came home to take a shower and get Dee Dee. She's been down from school for the whole weekend, and me, jackie and Rock just got back from dropping her off back up at URI. The drive home was of course hilarious again because we got lost and ended up in Waterford (what is that even) and got lost in some ghetto with a gas station called "pump 'n munch". It was scary.

Rock was home for the weekend, and we went to the fair Friday and Saturday. I usually have no desire to go to the fair, but we went both days this year. We were completely drunk both nights, and walked there all the way from her house. The first night Justin Ruffino brought me home, and the second night I walked home in some drunken angry tizzy. I bet I looked completely hilarious.

I had the day off today, obviously, but I work til three with charlotte tomorrow. Yayy.

Okay well I'm off to bed.. Hopefully this sparks a renewed interest in my livejournal writing.

"goodnight" - aaaahhahaha.
