Sex in college...
I don't understand why everyone jokes about the lack of sex in the Ivy League. Not only is it not non-existent, it's everywhere!
In Social Anthro today, the assignment was to, in an effort to study the creation of your own ethnography, list everything you had done in the past twenty-four hours. For me, that meant listing 12-1AM as a "sexual encounter." When Liz and I shared what we had written, she laughed and asked if THAT (pointing to the 12-1 time slot) happened frequently and with whom. At first, I laughed along with her, but then I realized that it DOES happen quite often. And with multiple partners.
So, I decided that if I have to create an ethnography about myself, it will focus on three things: race (and how it applies to my relationships at Harvard and at home), frienship (mostly at school), and sex (the difference between sex at college and sex at home).
That in mind, I am still debating whether or not I should use this journal as a tool to document my sexual conquests.
Eh.
