so much
so here I am, I finally have a spare... hour... to update my journal
so since last update
I've gone mountain biking twice now over the span of 2 weeks
first time I had no idea where I was going or where I was going to end up, so I spent 4 hours wandering around in the woods
The first time it was by pure chance that I found the entrance to the park (3 miles away) because I missed the one that people told me to go to...
so I spent all my time blazing trails and retracing my steps until I found a road that sounded familiar...
in total I went 14 miles... decent
I went a second time and this time actually looked for a map first and found a nice lady that sold me one ;-)
so I know someone has to have had their parents tell them that crazy people live in the woods
well I met one of them
and he saved my life
I was riding through the woods and I had to go down a REALLY steep grade
we're talking loose dirt, rocks, roots and all this with both my brake pressed and my butt skidding against the rear wheel
in other words, "AWESOME"
so after a short stint of this I grab a tree and hold on for dear life
and stop for a rest
after a few moments I see this guy down what doesn't seem to be a trail
he's sitting there smoking so I ask him if he's alright
he gets up real quick and starts almost yelling that he's fine and he was just taking a break (over and over and over)
then he starts to tell me not to go down the trail I was on, but I needed to take his trail
so I go down a little farther and I see that the trail does a very sharp switchback (basically a hairpin turn) down hill, same grade and the outer edge of the switchback is crossed off by two trees at just the right height to make you flip over the handle bars and that leads into a ravine
wow
so I turn around and start to thank to guy and he starts rambling about how her hates the city and he loves it out here and most of it I can't understand, but he'll get all riled up about how people kick him and call him crazy and he can't figure anything out in the city and how he is exercising his lungs out here by yelling and screaming and no one cares and how he got thrown out of a building in shackles and handcuffs because he puked in a trash can and how he was a vertical thinker and everyone else was horizontal
after about 10 mins of this (while I'm praying for him not to mug me) he says have a nice day and take it slow
WHAT?!?
yea so I left and thanked God that he had sent someone as nice as this guy to keep me from dying
yea so that was my adventure in the woods
then I got lost looking for a party on friday night
Paul and I went about 4 miles looking for this house while walking along the highway
crazy
and we finally made it to the right street, we were on a hill and could literally see my dorm not but 2 mins walk away...
LOL
so I finally went to my first party and I have the hook up now for parties in the area
I had 4 beers and I stopped at that, though I think I could have gone a lot farther, but then it wouldn't have been so much fun
and during the party I met Lola who just randomly showed up
and we got drunk and had a lot of fun
also met katie who had an adverse reaction to medication and alcohol and fell asleep on the toilet
lol
so overall it was a great party
Lola is from Virginia and we have a lot in common, so we'll see where this goes
last night I went swing dancing with Lola (lots of fun, lots of trying to remember how to swing dance)
and then she showed me around the city and ellicot city and the inner harbor
good night to say the least... next time I'll make sure I'm wearing pants and the right shoes...
because I don't think it's right to swing dance in shorts, sneakers, and a tshirt
lol
goin over to her dorm tonight for a movie
I don't know if anyone has heard of the swingers, but she says I have to see it
guess I don't have a choice, which is fine for me
I'm not doin so well with classes, but I think I'm gonna make a turnaround here pretty soon
I just need to tell my floor to F* off so I can do work
lol
so other than all that?
my show is still doin great and I'm having fun with that, still playing songs that have profanity in them, but other than that...
lol
losing listeners, but it might just be a dip since most of the people that usually listen went clubbin
oh well
