I swear it was like I was alone in a room with God and He was telling me exactly why I'm facing the issues I'm facing right now. Insane how He has a way of speaking through ( Read more... )

I'm so glad that God's teaching you so many things right now, Kim. I know it's hard to be going through different trials at once. Anytime that we surrender to God and are ready to let Him lead our lives, He starts refining and teaching us new things... we just have to remember that everything we're going through now will seem like nothing tomorrow... and the outcome will be that we are so much stronger than we are now... and will make us more ready for everything God desires for us. When I look at it that way, the trial seems much smaller immediately. God promises to us in the Bible that we will never be tempted above that which we are able. I know it's hard to trust sometimes, but a promise from God is stronger than any promise we can ever imagine. Don't ever worry about being a "downer". If you can't talk to your Christian friends when you're dealing with trials or temptation, who can you talk to? (Besides God, of course.) I think that's why God blesses us with Christian friends. So He can speak through them in such a way ( ... )
