Augusta Invitational

Our regatta this weekend went soooo much better than last weekend's. We were at the same venue, but what a difference it makes when there aren't 40 mph gusts. The water was completely calm and glassy and the sun was shining at about 70 degrees, perfect rowing conditions. I even managed to get some sun on my legs, and quite a bit on my face, as usual. I didn't get to row, so the Blade Bitch returneth. I think I ended up carrying oars for everyone and catching every boat the came in. Vasily joked that my title of Blade Bitch got upgraded to Blade Bitch Master. :) I got to delegate some of the time which was fun, and Travis made sure everyone listened when I called for help down at the docks. And I got the help I needed, not like last season when no one listened or bothered to help. Though I did notice who came to help almost all the time, and who never bothered, even when they weren't busy with anything. Oh well. Anyway, the Women's Novice 4+ placed second and the Lightweight Women placed third. Go them! Everyone else did relatively well also, and they all know what they need to work on. I get to row next weekend at Lake Lanier (hint, hint, come watch me!) in the Women's Novice 8+. One of the girls in the Lightweight boat is rowing with us, so I get in a boat! Megan and I are excited that we're not in our "threesome" boat anymore, even though that's the best boat in the world! Haha...

Tonight the drama group at MCC had their social, and I finally got to reunite with all of them. I haven't seen anyone from the group with the exception of Sloan since Christmas. It was a lot of fun hanging out with the group, playing trivia games, and eating one of the best home-cooked meals I've had in a long time. I wish I could get back there on Wednesday nights, but with my Optics class going until 7pm every Wednesday, that's just not possible. Well, as everyone there has been telling me, school is much more important. Which it is. Oh well. Priorities, right?

Back to school tomorrow. Another fun week in store, as I have homework due in every class this week. Gotta love it. Cheers!
