[The writing appearing in the journal is a loose, scrawling amalgamation of print and cursive.]It's never dull around here, is it? Popping out as a naked pod-person with no memories, journals turning into grotesque little creatures... and while I appreciate the sudden and unexpected upgrade in the style of my clothing this morning, I do wish the

[The writing is shaking a little, since the stiff formality strikes him as funny.] A form, really? ...Guess it's one way to get things done.
Gender: Male
Age: Mid-to-late 20's? I'm not sure

Height: Somewhere over 1.8 meters.
Weight: About... 12 stone, I guess?
Hair color: Brown
Eye color: Blue
Noticeable birthmarks or medical conditions: Asking for my birthmarks is a little personal~, don't you think? Just how well did you know this Range guy, Aurora?

What little description you were able to give implies the two of you are, at the least, similar in appearance. And you mentioned that you smoke? Do you have any vision impairment in your right eye?
-Aurora

I'm smoking right now, as a matter of fact. And as far as I can tell, my vision's perfect.
Looks like we may just have a case of mistaken identity.

It seems most likely that you are the variant of Range that Gundam turned into once.

A variant? How the hell does that work? And... that word you just said, Gundam, that's a person? Somehow, that doesn't seem quite right...
((ooc:Strikes are loosely marked through, probably still readable.))

I am not sure, but it has happened before. First, our variants appeared as separate beings, and later were involved in an event where a select few, such as the example I mentioned, turned into a variant, though not their own.
Gundam is the name of one of my comrades from my world. Why, is it familiar to you?

Huh. That's... weird. I can't imagine turning into someone. And in that same vein, I don't think I particularly care to think of myself as a 'variant'.
Yeah. It definitely sounds like something I've heard of before but there aren't really any specifics to go along with that. It's kind of... fuzzy.

It is rather disturbing. Knowing this place, you will probably experience it first hand at some point, so prepare yourself for it. If you can prove you are not a variant, then I will stop referring to you as such.
I expected that you would be familiar with elements of our world, regardless of who or what you are.

"Expect the unexpected." I keep hearing that a lot. And what exactly qualifies someone as a variant, anyhow?
I guess signs are pointing that way, huh? Anything else I should know about "where I came from"?

A variant - A copy of a person currently in Edensphere that is not native to their world but a product of this one. They meet most, if not all, of the following criteria:
1) The original's memories, either partial or full
2) Similar personalities with obvious distortion
3) Identical appearance
4) Preceded by other variants
5) Existence lasts no longer than a month
I do not think they are hatched, but I have no concrete evidence favoring either theory. That there are no other variants and that your handwriting differs from Range's are factors to be considered.
Any other information will have to be withheld at the moment until your existence can be defined more concretely.

All things told, I don't feel like I'm from here. It's all too odd.
1) I haven't a damned clue what he would remember. All I have is my dream.
2) Again, I wouldn't know.
3) There's definitely a resemblance, but I'll see for myself if we're identical when we meet.
4) You covered this one.
5) Ha, guess the test of time should tell one way or another.
Until my existence can be...?
Look, whatever's going on here, I refuse to believe I'm a carbon copy of someone. I'm just me, look-a-like or no.
