im back!
ha!
ok...well i spent the weekend in cape cod at some type of family reunion i suppose. its basically a cookout held at the tiny home of my equally tiny 93-year-old great-great-aunt. it was interesting, i bonded surprisingly well with a 2-year-old fifth cousin or something, im really not entirely sure what he was in relation to me. he came forward with a peace offering of moss and a handful of grass he picked up off the ground, dumping it ever so generously onto my lap. most family reunions end up being a fascinating event that forces one to realize just how complicated one's family actually is. i spent more time trying to figure out how i was related to most of the people than i spent actually talking to them. i think i ate more in that single day than i normally do in a week. and i never thought id get tired of eating, but i did, eventually. food does get boring, no matter how much of it there is for the taking.
so i twittered around on the golf course that was next door, like, right in the backyard, ran down the lane a few times, exchanged moss and twigs with my vertically and verbally challenged friend, ate until i felt like a greedy mosquito, and i guess thats about it. i stopped in freeport on the way home this afternoon, nearly crashing into ben, though he left just in time. i guess ill have to track him down in china.
