you tell me you're over her
but i can't help thinking
how do i know it's for sure?
i need to stop my heart from breaking.

you said last night
that we are just friends
i don't want it to be right
i want to be more than words will lend

i want to be kissed again
the way i was that long ago
we let something begin
and you let it go

my heart wept for you
as did each eye
you didn't have a clue
how much i cried

now you tell me she's gone
does that mean we are going to start?
that now i am the one
to which you can never part?

i am going to believe that
you won't make the same mistake twice
to make you a bigger prat
so here goes the roll of the dice.
