Just got home from the post office. The local school district sent me a letter saying they didn't have any vaccination info or exemption on file for my son. So, I called them, and they insisted that I hadn't sent it. Apparently, it's absolutely impossible that the 3"x4" card got lost in their office, even though it was in the envelope when I mailed it. *eye roll* That meant that I had to drive to the bank to have the new card notarized, then to the post office, so I could sent it Return Receipt Requested.
The cool thing is, the notary at the bank did it for free, even though I don't have an account there. There's supposed to be a $5 fee, which I was willing to pay. At least SOMEONE (*cough*
http://www.usbank.com/ *cough*) knows the meaning of customer service... even for folks who aren't customers.
