[The audio fizzles to life, and dials and knobs are twisted obnoxiously until the video finally flips on. Obito taps the screen once and grins at the camera with a wink]

[He sets the PCD on the ground, turning it away from himself, and there's a blur of pink a little ways away. Feathers are everywhere

[Carmen has a hand over her mouth, clearly trying to hide a smile, but it's not working very well.]

[She shakes her head and grabs the PCD. The video cuts out for a few long moments, then the video is back. Carmen looks much calmer.]

At least you are not so vain as to hide when something of yours has departed.

I must admit that the gnome army is amusing. It is almost a shame they will once again be still.

You try fighting and getting between a flock of... whatever-those're-called just trying to get a pair of goggles...!

Damn. And those gnome-things? [A sigh] Pain in the ass. I must've tripped like half a dozen times.

Flamingos. They are birds native to-- I do not suppose it matters. The birds are called flamingos, and they are popular larn ornamentation in many places.

But they are cute, in their own way. Granted, one would never be taken seriously, with a gnome army. But it would be delightful to have them running around nonetheless. One could perhaps teach them to water plants or... hm. There are few uses for beings of that size and shape, I fear. That does not end their amusement value as they run around, however.

[Obito looks over at the camera tiredly with an arm slung over his face]

'Flaming' what? A flaming goose? Wow. Well, I guess they're pink, so it's red- kinda.

[He just stares as she rambles on about gnomes- highly skeptical, then half-shrugs and holds up his struggling goggle clenched in a tight fist]

Yeah- got 'em. They're not gettin' away now.

Flamingos. It is one word. They are pink due to shrimp in their diet. It is theorized that if you fed them other foods, they would be different colors. But it is not a healthy thing to try.

[Carmen nods, smiling.]

So long as no one tries to steal them? I.. do not suppose, if you do indeed wind up coming here, that you could bring one of the gnomes?

Oh yeah? That sounds kinda cool actually. Id' totally try it if this wasn't an event. ...Those things are mean though! Seriously!

You want one? [A look of disbelief, and he glances back at the store, then groans and lays back down]

...Yeah, just lemme rest here for a bit and I'll rope one up or something an' bring it over, kay?

I did not say they were good-tempered birds. With such beaks, I would tend to avoid them.

[Carmen quickly shakes her head.]

If it would be difficult, you do not need to worry about such a thing. It is a momentary fancy, and in two days it will simply be another piece of plaster. Though by all means, do rest.
