Yep. Just here babysitting...

So, you may be wondering what a wonderfully well-endowed ex-vengeance demon, and her kind of dorky boyfriend who has no appreciation for the value of a dollar, or how evil rabbits actually are, are doing at the Summer's residence. Well, I'll tell you, because that's what I do. I say what everyone else is too afraid to say. Like you know, that we're ( Read more... )

'Oh man, where's someone with good decision making skills when you need them...It's for you.'

I looked at Xander and made a face before hitting him on the head.

"Are you okay, did something fall and hit you impairing your thought process? Besides my hand of course. Dawn is your idea of someone with good decision making skills? Okay, first of all she's Dawn. Second of all she's Dawn. She's a kid, she's not even a kid, she's a fake kid; that got Buffy killed. And the little brat probably just came down to try and sneak out. "

I sighed.

"Men..."

Then I noticed Dawn, still there. I keep forgetting that children don't just disappear if you ignore them. They should. It would make life a lot less complicated. Babysitting fees alone. Which reminds me I better be getting paid for this. And then there's the toll they take on a couples relationship. Why if that woman really is Riley's wife, I bet she lost her husband cause she was watching some brat. Now she's here annoying me, instead of fun time with her husband. Probably not missing much anyway, I hear things go downhill after marriage. Of course there was that sex powered frat house thing, which leads me to believe being Mrs. Finn can't be all the bad. Oh, yes where was I? Dawn.

"No offense or anything squirt."

I gave a big smile and turned back to Xander and whispered.

"Can't we just, send her to bed?"

Then I looked up. The door. Oh, right. Duh, and here we're letting Dawn say who to let in. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is the kid who invited Harmony in, is it not?

"Dawn..pssh...I swear Xander, I know trolls that are more logical than you. There's a simple way to determine whether or not that woman is Riley's wife, and whether or not she can come in. Think, if I do let her in will it somehow damper my night? Also will Willow get mad?...On second thought that would be good, maybe then she'll find someone else to watch the kid next time. Let's let the girl in, what do you say?"

I looked at Xander and nodded.

"I can give her coffee and talk about girl stuff. It'll be like old times, with Hallie. Of course this woman, whoever she is, kills demons as opposed to is one. Maybe we can talk about that."

"Did you just close the door on someone, Xander?" Ok, that was the real polite thing to do. I could not believe Xander had done that.

"It's for you."

"Who is it?" Alright this was getting really weird. Someone is at the door for me and neither Anya nor Xander want to let this person inside the house.

"Anya, I'm standing right here, which means I can hear everything you are saying." I said to Anya, casting her a slight glare while I took the last few steps down the stairs. My fingers curled around the handle of the door once I reached it and slowly drew the door open.

"Can I help you?" I asked peering out around the door at the woman standing on the other side.

I sighed, rolling my eyes slightly. "Ahn, honey, you can't have old times with someone you've never met before. And this is Dawn's house, if she wants to let strangers into her house she can..." why couldn't Anya realize that it wasn't really up to us who came into Dawn's house I mean we weer just the babysitters you know... Not that it mattered I heard the doorknob turn gently and the every cheerful and childish "Can I help you?"

I snapped quickly out of my condenscending tone and a huge grin spread across my face. "Yes, can we help you...Dawn's Casa es su casa." I clasped my hands together, fearing the wrathing of another one of Anya's beatings.
