Back in the saddle.

There was so much to take in. It was so hard to imagine. Wes, Wes of all people, had busted me out of jail earlier today. And on the drive to Sunnydale he told me all about what had been going on. Buffy was gone. I had to take over. It was so overwhelming. Here I thought I was going to rot in prison for the rest of my life and now I'm back ( Read more... )

I had left Dawn with Anya and Xander because I needed to take a little trip to the magic box real quick. I couldn't find what I had been looking for though, so here I am now, walking back home, alone.

Oh great idea Willow I though to myself as I started walking around one of the cemetaries in Sunnydale. I was at least smart enough not to walk through it. But then I saw someone walking, and it wasn't a vampire..at least I didn't think so anyway. But I had brought a stake anyway, just in case. Yeah, like I'd be a good match for a vamp now.

I went up and stood behind a tree, muttering a little protection spell as I peeked out from behind it to see who it was.

Damn, there weren't any vamps tonight! At least not in this cemetary. That seemed way hard to believe. I was told there were all these big powerful vampires in Sunnydale and I can't find any.

I decided it would be best to head back to see Wesley. Guess I kinda had to stay with him since no one else knew about me not being in jail. Wonder how they would react.

Leaving the cemetary I saw something. Vampire? Nah, I'd sense it. Idiot girl wandering around by herself at night in Sunnydale? Much more likely. She had ducked behind a tree. Whatever. I began to walk past when I heard something. She was mumbling something.. sounded a little like magic.

I turned to look at the girl, my hand on my stake, ready for action. Willow? Oh crap. Here we go...

I was speechless. How do you say 'Hi Willow, how've you been? And sorry about intentionally hurting everyone you cared about!' You just can't do that.

I peeked out from behind the tree after my spell was finished and finally saw who it was. And it was definitley not a vampire. Unless Faith had gotten bitten, which I realy wouldn't care too much about, but thats not the point here.

I stepped out from behind it, putting the stake away that I had brought with me. I didn't smile at her, but I didn't frown either. I placed my hands on my hips and just looked at her.

"Hmmm.." I hummed softly.

I forced a small smile. This was beyond uncomfortable. I'd hoped she's say hi first so I didn't think she still hated me. But then, why wouldn't she still hate me? She had every right to. I couldn't blame her for that.

I wasn't really sure what to say, but knew that I had to say something. She was sure to want an explanation.. and seeing me must be hard, what with losing B and all.

"Hey Willow.. Surprised to see me?"
