Meta rec
I usually stay away from meta, but I highly recommend everyone go and check out
xparrot's meta on the writers of Atlantis over here. It's a great analysis on the different styles of the SGA writers we love and those we love to hate. :) There's also a breakdown of who wrote which episodes. It gives a very clear picture of who is good at character moments and not so good at plot, who is a Rodney fanboy, and who should really be writing more episodes. :D
And by the by, does anyone have a few moments to look over a couple fics I'm working on (and have been for God only knows how long)? I've written and rewritten so many times that I've lost all objectivity. They're both AUs (although one is decidedly more so) and have a bit of a John/Teyla slant (although, again, one is decidedly more so). I think at this point I just need someone to bounce some ideas off of and make sure that I haven't gone totally OOC in my lunacy. :D
