here's some interesting facts smug_grrl February 11 2004, 00:42:45 UTC
fact number one) i've been to the biltmore house TWICE since i was fourteen.
fact number two) my dad used to hunt on the biltmore estate illegally w/ my great-grandfather, papaw
fact number three) my dad also went to school w/ the heirs of the biltmore estate, who at that time were still living in the house
fact number four) the biltmore house was one of the first to have an indoor bowling alley
fact number five) the biltmore estate is found in Asheville, North Carolina, the home of Thomas Wolfe.
so here is my conclusion: Thomas Wolfe, a writer, lived in Asheville, and my dad grew up in Ashville-and I'm my dad's daughter, an aspiring (yet failing) writer--thus, I ought to be succesful in life, because of the Asheville connection--it all makes sense to me

Heidy!!!! YOu are almost famous already!! Wow. I wish I had those kind of connections. On the other hand, I'm not an aspiring writer. ANd I've never been to the Biltmore estate. But I am going to go. Devin has been there and so has Amaree. And devin used it in an argument that North Carolina is prettier than Virginia. So I have to go see it now, just to make sure. --I saw a picture of you today!! ANd I missed you so so so so much!!!!! And I have already started the master plan of being ahead on my homework so that when you come I can play.

"wasn't there some famous person who said that they don't confine themselves to misery, and keep themselves there, but they do take the time to really experience every emotion, i think it does get over faster that way than if we hide and resist it anyway."

--Morrie of "Tuesdays With Morrie" fame embraced a philosophy of experiencing an emotion completely so that one can let go of it. This has had an influence on my philosophy of the TRUTH of a moment.

And Whitney ONLY means well. How many people can you say that about??? ahem.

Hey Mikaela,

as i was getting ready for work i just had such a huge wave of apprecation for you. nothing truely inspired it but it was such a huge wave i cant ignore it. so i think it is very important that you know how thoroughly i enjoy you and look to you for stability. you always show up when im about to crack and i need you. you are there when i look for you and you stop to help me. when we were driving back from richmond one of those many times, and when i asked you to say something inspiring, you always had something. you only had to think for a max of 30 seconds because you are always striving to be a good person and always thinking and considering things that are good, always have positive outlook. thank you. the things you say reinforce the things you stand for. i look up to you, you are amamzing and great.
