Snow Coming just when I was going to Florida and seminary

I'm supposed to fly to Florida to speak at the Lotusphere Convention on Monday. The flight leaves on Sunday, but we're supposed to get 18 inches of snow, so I may not get out till much later. I'm going to have to call around to see if I can book earlier (or else recover from a cancelled flight later). Gagg.

I'm probably going to apply to Gordon Conwell's CUME program some time over the next weeks. As I told my wife, I'm already studying at seminary level, so I might as well get credit for it.

The problem with academics in the Church is that they can become unteachable know-it-alls. My prayer is that I am always humble enough to learn from the most humble person or minister. Still, this kind of training is very much in keeping with who I am.

For the first time this past autumn, many people are calling me "Pastor John". That's just weird, but I guess I should get used to it. I never set out to be a pastor, it kind of came to me.

My wife and I are praying about starting a church about 30 miles north, but we don't want to move and rip the kids out of their high school as yet. So .. we wait to prepare.

C Ya

John
