on tuesday i had the pleasure and privilege of viewing "don't look back", a bob dylan music film at the ifc (thanks derek and his free tickets)
ok i'm not a hugh dylan fan but, but the time it was over i was half way there. it was just enthralling by the charismatic dylan in action, during his tour of england during 1965. he was in his prime. so quick witted, intelligent and what a song writer. just radiating charisma and real talent.
lots of,
happy bob
witty bob
smiling bob
angry bob
emotional bob
music seems to have lost its way. there's plenty about but a hugh lack of dylan's, jagger's, hendrix's, ect ect .... when what they wrote and sang meant something
another music related area. something that i just realised myself and then ashley co-incidently mentioned it as well last weekend.
i have always and still do prefer songs that would make you cry over those that make you smile. i've never considered the alternative. never thought about it until the other week. hmmm....
now gotta go help my mum prepare for her driving test. brum brum
