Summary: 50 sentences describing Yabu Kota and Takaki Yuya, the ins and outs, the ups and downs.
#01 - Comfort
I wonder, Takaki thinks quietly, his face buried into the crook of Yabu’s neck and the older boy’s arms rubbing soothing circles into his back. If you’re always here to comfort us, who’s ever there to comfort you?
#02 - Kiss
All it takes is one kiss from Takaki for Yabu to realize that everything he’s ever known is one big lie.
#03 - Soft
*click!* goes the camera. Yabu smiles and glances at the shot of Takaki sucking his thumb and hugging the teddy bear closer to his chest. “Softie.”
#04 - Pain
He thinks he knows what pain is. But it only takes one look at Yabu with Jin for Takaki to realize that he doesn’t know a fucking thing.
#05 - Potatoes
The one time Takaki tries to equate Yabu’s eyes with potatoes, he earns a punch in the nose from the older boy and a chortle from Daiki. Damn.
#06 - Rain
Sometimes, Yabu muses, his eyes following Takaki’s form as the younger boy twirls around in the rain. I wonder if Takaki realizes how incredibly beautiful he is.
#07 - Chocolate
"Kiss me?"
"Takaki-"
"I'll give you chocolate!"
"....get over here."
#08 - Happiness
Happiness, to Takaki, is arguing with Yabu, for only then do the flecks of gold in his brown eyes light up and create the most beautiful fire the world has ever seen.
#09 - Telephone
“Oh, Yabuchii, your boyfriend’s on the phonnneeee~!”
“Chinen, give me back my cell!”
#10 - Ears
Takaki quickly discovers that blowing on Yabu’s ears is the quickest way to make the older boy jump a foot in the air. Oh, the fun to be had.
#11 - Name
Takaki sees the irony of Kota’s name and he smiles, for Kota means heart and Yabu has the biggest heart the world has ever seen.
#12 - Sensual
“Sensual, sensual, sensual-”
“Yuya?”
“Yessss?”
“I’m not having sex with you.”
“Damn it!”
#13 - Death
Sometimes, he dreams of Yabu dying and leaving him. And every time he does, Yabu’s there when he awakes, filled with promises to never leave him alone.

“Takaki-kun?”
“Yes, Ryutaro?”
“What’s sex?”
“….Yabu, stop laughing.”
#15 - Touch
Yabu swore to himself when JUMP debuted that he would never touch Takaki Yuya, ever. Yeah, funny how things work out.
#16 - Weakness
When he was younger, Takaki watched superhero shows and promised himself that he would never show weakness, not even in the face of defeat. Years later, he watches Yabu in Jin’s arms and laughs at how stupid he was.
#17 - Tears
He watches Takaki crying now, crying tears for Kamei and Hasshi and everything he lost, and he wishes more than anything that he really could be the superhero everyone makes him out to be.
#18 - Speed
He watches the speed at which Yabu leaves the room, tears glowing in his eyes, and he curses himself for going too far.
#19 - Wind
If Takaki was fire, then Yabu was the wind, spurring the flames on for the rest of eternity.
#20 - Freedom
“FREEDOM!”
“Yabu, it’s just a costume.”
“Shut up.”
#21 - Life
Yabu, to Takaki, is the definition of life itself, for no one else could make his life worth living.
#22 - Jealousy
Yabu only realizes the meaning of the word jealousy when he catches Takaki kissing Daiki out of the corner of his eye.

“Takaki, hands!”
“I’m not touching anything!”
“Then who the heck is feeling up my thigh?”

Sometimes, Takaki wonders what Yabu would taste like. But one look from Jin and he realizes that he’ll never have the chance to find out.

Yabu’s devotion to him is quiet and hesitant but there never the less. And Takaki could not be more grateful for such a gift.
#26 - Forever
Whenever Takaki thinks about forever, Yabu’s there to remind him of the importance of today.
#27 - Blood
Even though Takaki’s the star of the show, Yabu never watches a moment of Gokusen 3 because secretly, fake blood or no, he never wants to see Takaki get hurt again.
#28 - Sickness
Takaki Yuya’s a sickness, Yabu decides, one that he’ll never be able to completely get over.
#29 - Melody
Yabu and Takaki’s story is like the melody of a song, unpredictable yet beautiful in its own special way.
#30 - Star
Takaki wonders whether Yabu realizes that the only reason why he’s becoming a star is because the older boy has been there for him every step of the way.

Home is where the heart is, and so Takaki’s home is always with Yabu.
#32 - Confusion
Years later, he’ll wonder where it all went wrong. But confusion will always reign supreme where Takaki Yuya is concerned and so Yabu will sigh and move on with his life.

Takaki’s greatest fear is not losing to Jin but losing Yabu’s friendship, for he can live without Yabu's love but without his dearest friend, life will never again be worth living.

Yabu sees Takaki as lightning, for nothing else in this world could hurt him as much.

The bond between the two of them was something Yabu could never explain but instinctively cherished with everything he had.

He realizes he’s been taken off the market when he wakes up and the words “Property of Takaki Yuya” are written across his forehead.

“DAMN TOUCH SCREEN!”
“…Takaki, that menu’s not touch-screen.”
“…I hate technology.”
#38 - Gift
From the moment he met him, Yabu knew that Takaki was a gift. If only the other boy could see that as well.
#39 - Smile
Yabu’s smile was a symbol of their friendship. And so Takaki was okay with them not being together, because all he wanted was Yabu’s smile. Everything else was optional at best.
#40 - Innocence
Under all the dumb jokes and “rough edges”, Takaki Yuya was innocence itself. That, to Yabu, was the other boy’s best quality.
#41 - Completion
“YES, I COMPLETED THE LEVEL!”
“Takaki, you realize that this game has fifty levels total?”
“What level am I on?”
“Three.”
“….maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan.”
#42 - Clouds
Takaki spends his days in the clouds, floating through life without a care in the world. But Yabu’s always there to pull him down to earth again. And for that, he is glad.
#43 - Sky
Yabu soon realizes that the sky’s not enough. And so now, he aims for the stars, because that’s where Takaki is.
#44 - Heaven
Takaki is heaven, for only through heaven can Yabu find his peace.
#45 - Hell
Hell, Takaki decides, is a world without Yabu as his friend. And that’s a world Takaki would rather live without.
#46 - Sun
Some days, Takaki shines brighter than the sun. And on those days, Yabu cries, for he fears more than anything that he’ll never have the chance to shine just as strong.
#47 - Moon
Takaki quickly realizes that Yabu is the moon and he laughs at himself because he has no right to mess with something so beautiful.
#48 - Waves
He looks at Takaki’s hair and he sees waves of fire, strong and vibrant and brighter than anything he’s ever seen.
#49 - Hair
“MY HAIR’S PURPLE?!?”
A few rooms down, Yabu hears his best friend’s shriek and cackles quietly. “Payback’s a bitch.”
#50 - Supernova
At the heart of all the rumors, the fan service, the press speculations, Yabu and Takaki are the best of friends.. And their friendship is something that will always be stronger than even a supernova.
A/N: So it's been a while, AGAIN.
I'm such an Arashi fan now. And yet, when I go to write Johnny's fanfiction, it's so easy to write Takabu. XD, WHO KNOWS WHY.
So I've got writer's block again on my senior project. And I've been wanting to write a 50 sentences fic for SO LONG. So I stole the alpha set from one of the comms and I wrote it based on that. Maybe someday I'll put it up there. If I'm brave enough, XD.
Basically, this was a way to try and get some inspiration flowing. I'll return to fanfiction when I'm done writing my senior project, promise. But honestly, I'm loving writing my own world. So maybe this is it for a while. Either way, I love you all and it's nice to come back.
