Home at last
yeyeah......seems like i'm tripping out a bit like every other drum corps kid as we transition from our world of rehearsal days, show days, and free days to the "real world" of weekdays, weekends, and other sorts of stuff one doesn't deal with on tour.
I left everything I had on the field finals night and the two nights leading up to it. As much as my body thanks me for the rest it needed (my legs were constantly cramping, i got head aches everyday from how tense my back/neck were, my toes were worn to the point of bleeding), I miss it a lot. In the two months we were on tour, the corp grew really close.
Its alright though, life moves forward. I'm super excited for next season and to see everyone at auditions.
Band camp is too soon. I think i need a little bit more of a break.....but then again, i'm pretty excited for this capo season. Speaking of which, who is up for hanging out wednesday night after the leadership thing maybe? thoughts on this....anyone?
