Wow Districts tomorrow.
Yay no school..but i AM running all day pretty much. im goin for the 100, 4x1, and long jump. as usual. my goals for tomorrow are going to be 18 some feet for long jump....19 if im crazy...12 flat or 11.9 for the 100. and a 48 or 47 second 4x1...i know we are all capable of doing it....its easy...we are just all very tired of a long season...many of us if not ALL of the team has some kind of injury...im suffering with 3....yea it sucks...but i should stop complaining.
Im really going to miss the seniors. Especially jenna...man we have been through soo much together. i remember back in 9th grade when i was the newcomer on the 4x1 team. i was afraid everyone was going to be SO much better then me and her along with some of the seniors gave me the confidence i needed to be where i am today. i dunno where i would be without her. Probably not even on the team. People think i run track and i stay on it because i like running...well they are wrong, i stay on for the people...for my team...i love them so much. Man ive been with the seniors for 3 years now...its hard to let go. it hasnt quite hit me hard enough yet..but i know when the time comes im going to ball my eyes out. We are one of the only sports in school where the whole team loves eachother and gets a long great. we are a true team inside and out of track..we are more then a team...we are family. I love all my track girls. you all make me soo proud. our determination and love for the sport and competition get us so far...even to a national level. you know how we do girls!! we get shit done. Good luck to everyone at districts and states! and for those who are doing summer track...have fun with that!!
Just thought id bring a closing to the track season since its been long and hard and sucessful for the most part. im looking forward to next year being a senior and competing my best high school times and distances...HORRAH FOR TRACK!!
