Attached is my submission for Open Door Month. It is called “Everything Is Going To Be Okay,” and it is a novel about the end of the world.
Mark has been dead three months when the sky falls. When the sky falls, the dead climb up and walk the earth.
Now muddy, disheveled, undead, and wearing only one shoe, Mark must make his way across the country, from Vermont to California, before time runs out, to see the love of his life one more time.
Meanwhile, the love of his life robs a bank.
“Everything Is Going To Be Okay” is shorter than 70,000 words, but I hope you will still consider it. It isn’t what one would normally expect from a novel about the apocalypse, and I think that is one of its greatest strengths.
