Today I went to Target to spend the $15 gift card that I got because it came free with Sister's MacBook. I was going to get a button-up or something, so that I could wear it under things and be cool, but instead I found this argyle sweater and FLIPPED OUT because argyle is pretty sweet. But they didn't have it in my size, so I'm going to order it online...where it's not on sale. ): Also, it's dry-clean only, because it's merino and these big manufacturing people are too stupid to know about superwash, apparently. Ian suggested that it'll just shrink if I wash it, which wouldn't be too bad, seeing that I'm tiny.
Anyway, from there I called Jess, and she was all, "Oh hey, I'm just chillin' until I go to work." So we hung out for a while. She got Taco Bell (and I stole her nachos) and we had a really helpful conversation. Then I dropped her off at work and went back to Yarns Unlimited, where I hung out with the knitters and worked on my thermal. They gave me chocolate. I had a nice conversation with a lady about Wii bowling.
Megan called (and some ladies were amused by my pocket whining, "Elijaaaah~, answer your phoooone~) and we got lunch at Stefano's, since it was her break. The old lady who took our order was very nice. She made me smile. I love the sweet pickles they have there. Megan and I had a nice conversation, and apparently our uproarious laughter amused the old lady.
Megan went back to work, and I went to Barnes & Noble to steal their internet and work a bit on my script.
Got distracted with books on improvisational knitting and Yarnbombing (GUERILLA KNITTING!), but finally got down to business. There was this table utterly covered in books and magazines, and I felt bad sitting near it because it was such a mess. When the guy came to clean it up and re-shelve all the books, I very apologetically told him that it was there when I showed up. He stacked up all the books, and discovered underneath them what appeared to be part of a syringe.
It was very exciting. The black woman in the large coat, who was sitting in the chair next to my chair, hoped aloud that it was for someone's diabetes. The man at the nearby table said diabetes syringes are orange, but later Jason told me that only some of them are.
So who knows.
I also ran into Superior and Miranda, which was nice.
After that, I met Jess (and assorted friends of hers, some of whose names I don't remember--there were about six of us total) at Cafe Pizzaria. Noshed on some fries and garlic cheese bread. We were going to hang out at Soma after, but they were closed so we went to The Pour House and played a very intense game of Set. Jess went and got Megan around 10, and we stayed a little longer before they essentially kicked us out at closing time. Then Jess, Megan and I made the very cold journey to my car and sat around shivering until we decided to harass Jason.
We ended up watching a few episodes of Arrested Development at Jason's. Fun was had.
Good day.
Also, my car got SIRS'd. SIRS.
)<3 =) <3(
(pretend that's a SIRS. JESS WILL GET IT.)
(Seriously, I love you guys so much.)
Now it's almost 3 in the morning. I am going to shower and go to bed.
Night-night, loves. <3
