My weekend was pretty awesome.
Friday evening, I went to Showplace 11 to meet up with Sao, Rei-chan, Gray, and some of Gray's friends to see Ponyo. My overall verdict: adorable. It was so sweet and touching and Sao and I spent virtually the entire movie clutching each other and squealing. We gave Rei-chan a headache. I really liked the octopus in the background of the one shot. The octopus that was ever so slowly trying to get into the house.
After Ponyo we hung out with Gray for a while, then went to the winery to pick blackberries in the dark. <3 It was so much fun. I am pretty good at picking blackberries. We filled half a cooler.
We decided that the Parkers needed to kidnap me for the night, so I went home, got overnight stuff, and went back to their house.
And then my neck was attacked by vicious Alaskan suckerfish.
In the morning we went to the farmer's market, then to the Chocolate Moose. Then back to the Parker house to help set up for some sort of dinner party. We went back to my house around 1 because Sister was having a little Miyazaki movie party with a couple friends and Sister's friends are sometimes pretty cool.
This morning, my family went out to breakfast with Sao's family for the first time, and it went well. Sister told us about a math problem she had to do. Something about a man stranded on an island shaped like an equilateral triangle and where he should build his house. We turned it into an epic romance, and then resolved to write said epic romance. I'll let you know how it goes. It involves a surfer who is not a surfer. And a sort-of-Italian fisherman.
I went home with Sao and company and we wrote a bit of the story before defaulting to LiCl and Super Mario. Much progress was made on the LiCl, and Rei-chan beat Super Mario Bros. 3. I found out I am really, really bad at Super Mario World, with the exception of underwater levels, which nobody else is good at.
And now, I am home. And I have to take a shower about 7 minutes ago.
