Help for the Philippines
Hi guys! I have been in hiatus from blogging for a loooong time now though I'm constantly checking on lj for happenings in & out of the fandom. I just want to take a little time to post this and make an appeal to all our friends out there as my way of helping our countrymen in my own little way. As they say, there's no harm in trying :)
As some of you may have heard already, our country, the Philippines has been hit by succeeding disasters such as the war in Zamboanga, the earthquake in Cebu & Bohol and most recently, the super typhoon Haiyan (local name: Yolanda). Watching the news and seeing images of the places directly hit by the storm has reminded me of what happened in Japan when tsunami hit them. And I also remember how people from different fandoms of different countries tried to help in their own little way. So I thought that maybe you could also do the same for my country especially now that the Christmas season is fast-approaching. We will greatly appreciate any kind/amount of help but I think the mostly needed items now are food, water, medicine & clothing.
For those who want to help, please see details/organizations below. I just got these from the internet & I know there are other government & non-government agencies providing help to the victims. If you know of others, please feel free to tell me so I can add them here.

As early as now let me say my sincerest THANKS/ARIGATOU to all. Please continue to pray for our country & others affected by the typhoon also. With your help, I'm sure you'll see us flashing our widest & warmest smiles again ^_^
