Would 'Dalian' be usable in English as a synonym for 'Daliesque', I wonder?

But enough of the guff, why aren't you posting more?

It's liukaiqin. I'm having great struggles with proxies and things I don't understand - basically trying to get onto my University's VPN (virtual private network) from my powerbook, at my host father's office. I'm not talking cos I can't! If you could go to www.ed.ac.uk and to 'library' and search for 'VPN' for me that would be great. There should be a page about 'remote access via VPN for Mac'. All I need is the SERVER ADDRESS to type into my prefs - I'm registered from before and have my password etc. Then post it here as a comment, cos I'm able to read LJ comments (but not post to LJ).

Yo, me again, I found the address - I'm just still battling to get onto my VPN. It might be a while before I'm able to use the internet properly. Sites within China all work fine - anything 'country-outwith' (like my email) has problems... Hey, anyone else got any helpful tips? 刘凯琴
