it's late and i slept like shit last night, was on the verge of falling asleep all day. +, you know. maybe it'd be a novel idea for me to get a couple winks in now. but i'm pretty wide-eyed and bed-wary right about now, eating ice cream, just finished a book and watched a movie. "one flew over the cuckoo's nest", kids. god. so good. just. so good. this man has won my heart and maybe it's worth saying that he & david byrne make up my entire list of famous guy crushes:

it's been cold. so cold that my hands and feet and the very tip of my nose never thaw except for when i'm in my car with the heat cranked so hot it's like a sauna. (and i've been driving more than i've gotta, if you know what i mean.) we're playing christmas music now and thinking about putting up lights + they've already got the lights up on the trees in the augusta rotaries (they're all different colors, thick bands of bright neon colors, and so gawdily and tackily gorgeous) and on houses all around.
thanksgiving was good. packed! so much family. so much food. two kinds of turkey, three kinds of stuffing, squash sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, potato salad, cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, regular salad and especially. GREEN SALAD. old family tradition: lime jello, cool whip, pineapple, walnuts, all mixed together and set in a jello mold overnight. best part of the meal. laura and i ate til we were so so full. and then there was dessert (which i won't even go into)!
i start work at a florist shop in manchester on monday. i'm hoping it'll work out. making flower arrangements , working the cash register (snore and a half), making deliveries (i'm excited about this).
i think it will be good. we'll see. & we'll see if i can stick around during this winter, instead of driving south on an impulse and a craving for sun. it'll be fun. like a contest! anyone wanna bet money?
oh, and. my hair's getting long. past my ears. just in time for winter.
