Ravenclaw House Scarf

Nov 17, 2005 12:58

I started working on this Ravenclaw House scarf many, many months ago. But I set it aside after about 100 rows and didn't return to it until a few weeks ago when I decided I wanted to have it finished before Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is released in theaters.

Since I've been at home sick practically all week, I've had a lot of time to knit and purl away. Basically my week has consisted of sleeping, knitting, eating and sleeping some more.

It's 4" (10cm) wide and 78" (198cm) long, from fringe to fringe. It's super long so I can wrap it around my neck a couple times. I didn't follow the standard pattern from the movies, which calls for 19 stripes and 11 fringes on each end. I just made up my own pattern. I think it came out pretty, though. I'm wearing this to the midnight screening tonight. ^__^ I need to keep myself totally bundled up so I don't get even sicker.
