Little Yuzu is Reading

I took a long lunch break yesterday to see the
Hello Kitty Three Apples exhibition at
Royal/T Café in Culver City, as it's only five miles from my office. The café is inspired by the
maid cafés in Tokyo's
Akihabara district, and it's also a cool art space. Which makes it perfect for
Sanrio's first-ever Hello Kitty-exclusive exhibition, all in honor of the feline's 35th anniversary.
It consists of Hello Kitty memorabilia throughout the years, a Hello Kitty-themed apartment, and various artist renditions of the lovable cat. As I was putting together this post, I realized I had way too many photos for one entry. So I'm splitting them up in several posts. This first post includes photos from various displays throughout the art space, including
product retrospectives. Right-click and view alternate text for captions.
I feel so lucky that such a collection is located this close to me. I thought I'd have to go to Japan or San Francisco to see all that Hello Kitty in one place. I was seriously on cloud nine here. I'm going to try to go back before the exhibition closes. If you're in the L.A. area from now until November 15, and you love Hello Kitty, definitely check this out. It's so much fun...and it's free!
