I'm sorry, but I'm still not off my Harry Potter high! I drew three scenes from book 7 (desktop-wallpaper size), and they're below the cut. I also spent forever making 65 icons for anyone who'd like to use them. I feel like I should draw more Puffs for my other journal
theofficepuffs, but I think the show's summer hiatus has put me in a lull for the moment. I've got balls of yarn next to my TV in my bedroom, and I've been meaning to pick them up and finish crocheting something with them...but I tire. I sewed embellishments onto one part of a thing I'm working on, but the rest of it will probably take a while. I promise, though, that I'll do a craft post one of these days. :)
As with any of my posts related to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, there are *spoilers* underneath the cut. So don't click unless you've read the book or don't care to be spoiled.
Clicking on the images will give you desktop wallpapers of those scenes:
CHAPTER 8: The Wedding"Wow," [Ron] added, blinking rather rapidly as Hermione came hurrying toward them. "You look great!"
"Always the tone of surprise," said Hermione, though she smiled. She was wearing a floaty, lilac-colored dress with matching high heels; her hair was sleek and shiny.
They were all laughing so much that none of them noticed the latecomer, a dark-haired young man with a large, curved nose and thick black eyebrows, until he held out his invitation to Ron and said, with his eyes on Hermione, "You look vunderful."
"Viktor!" she shrieked, and dropped her small beaded bag, which made a loud thump quite disproportionate to its size.
Ron's ears had turned bright red again. After glancing at Krum's invitation as if he did not believe a word of it, he said, much too loudly, "How come you're here?" ~ pp. 142-143
CHAPTER 22: The Deathly Hallows"The Deathly Hallows are real, and I've got one - maybe two -"
He held up the Snitch.
"Harry," said Hermione, "I'm sorry, but I think you've got this wrong, all wrong."
"But don't you see? It all fits - "
"No, it doesn't," she said. "It doesn't. Harry, you're just getting carried away."
She appealed to Ron.
"You don't believe this, do you?"
Harry looked up, Ron hesitated.
"I dunno...I mean...bits of it sort of fit together," said Ron awkwardly.
The truth was that [Hermione] was scared of the idea of the Deathly Hallows, especially the Resurrection Stone... ~ pp. 432-434
CHAPTER 22: The Deathly Hallows"Potterwatch, didn't I tell you that's what it's called? The program I keep trying to get on the radio, the only one that tells the truth about what's going on!"
Ron spent evening after evening using his wand to beat out various rhythms on top of the wireless while the dials whirled. While he tapped, Ron continued to try to hit on the correct password, muttering strings of random words under his breath.
But not until March did luck favor Ron at last. Harry was sitting in the tent entrance, on guard duty...when Ron shouted excitedly from inside the tent.
"I've got it, I've got it! Password was 'Albus'! Get in here, Harry!"
Harry hurried back inside the tent to find Ron and Hermione kneeling on the floor beside the little radio. Hermione, who had been polishing the sword of Gryffindor just for something to do, was sitting open-mouthed, staring at the tiny speaker, from which a most familiar voice was issuing.
It was the first time [Harry] felt fully connected to the outside world for a long time. ~ pp. 437-438, 440
Wow, could there be anymore icons? I just couldn't stop making them. And this is why I don't sleep at night. Let me know if you're taking any. Please comment & credit (
