The Scarf That Won't Finish

Little Yuzu is Listening To
The Rising Tied
Fort Minor
see relatedChickity check out my HSM Troy Bolton "tree" icon. I've had it for months, but never used it on my journal. Funny. Only Disney Channel viewers would understand it anyway. I'm currently listening to The Rising Tied by Fort Minor. Explicit lyrics aside (and boy are there a ton!), it's one of the best hip-hop albums I've heard in a very long time. Mike Shinoda (of Linkin Park fame) has some serious skills.

I want to share something with you that I was working on a couple months ago and have since abandoned because it's getting too hot to knit. It's a scarf I'm making for myself for the next time I visit New York (hopefully during the colder months), or some other place that's colder than southern California.

This is where I left off in April. As you can see, I didn't get too far.

Here's the scarf laid out so you can see the color pattern.

I was originally going to make a color-block scarf with three colors of wool that I bought at the Japanese store (I just happened to swing by the yarn aisle when I was shopping for bento supplies). Instead, I decided to add two more colors to the mix and picked them from my stash of wool that I purchased from Patternworks last year. This way, the scarf is guaranteed to match many different ensembles!

It's public knowledge that I'm lacking crafty motivation. Been doing some home-improvement stuff in the house and not having a lot of free time to just sew or knit. The free time I have is spent sleeping, mostly. Plus I just don't feel like crafting. Lately I find I'm happy when I'm at the grocery store. Sad, but true. I'm a foodie gone mad.

Hope everyone is having a nice last day of May. :)
