Mohinder expects a thousand things from his own private, personal monster. He expects blood and pain, sadistic pleasures and that bitter, devilish laugh, perversions purred into his ears. He expects to die, to drown in his own blood and breathe his last in the same city where his father breathed his last, by the exact same hands, a ghostly echo.
What he does not expect is tenderness. When those hands, those murderous hands, hold him like he’s something fragile, precious, Mohinder falls into that gravity without fighting it anymore and lets himself drown in everything he never expected at all.
