Supernatural review: 02.14 - "Born Under A Bad Sign"
As always, predictably:
I should meta about this. I should. I should have a ton of things to say about it. There was meaty brother stuff and new demon info and all of that. And Bobby was back, w00t, my backwoods voodoo master. But to tell the truth? The rape overtones have thrown me off. When it looked like Sam was going to rape Jo, that derailed it for me. I know it was the demon and he didn't actually do that, but...I guess I trusted my show not to go there. Which was dumb, since SPN has no problem going all sorts of awful places and fuck, our primary pairing in fandom is incest, but at the same time, I totally have been utterly derailed by that rape overtone. I wish there had been a warning. I was really not ready in any way, shape or form to see that tonight. And not from Sammy. I know it wasn't really Sammy, but that was Sammy's face, Sammy's voice the demon was using.
Maybe tomorrow, I can meta. Tonight? Tonight, I just don't want to think about it.
