Redmond is a geeky town

I think I'm actually enjoying a job for once. The days don't drag on like they used to at the other places. Thank god.

For the past few days, I've been calling small computer companies telling them about rebates and how they can promote their businesses. It's nice when they actually enjoy what they hear because I'm promoting their business and stuff. I was actually going to call Alienware (a subsidiary of Dell that makes gaming-oriented PCs, personal note: I think they're overpriced pieces of shit) but they never answered their damn phones.

It's kind of cool because it's all nerdy. These PC guys (technical term is OEM system builders, ha!) often share their thoughts on Vista and stuff (for the most part, none of them like it now, and I'm supposed to be representing Microsoft. Hah!). I'm kind of in an area where I can flourish.

Driving to Redmond isn't all that bad. I decided to fetch the extra $7 a month and add myself to my friend's Sirius account. All it required was a tuner for me to buy. Howard Stern alone makes it worth it. I can't believe I've missed out on him all these years. HairNation, a channel dedicated to Hair Bands is the gravy.

Moral of the story: being nerdy pays off if you find a job in that field.
