New Header~!
Woo, so Ruth came over today to remind me that I do have friends I can see once in a while. I had been crushed by my research schedule before, but this weekend is the first "free" weekend I have. No running any participant until next week~! :cheer: Not that the actual running of participant was bad, but the time! At 3 hours a person, in between classes and until late at night, 6 days a week tends to take its toll on a girl.
ANYWAY, the point was that Ruth came bearing gifts, i.e.: with a shinee new header (harhar) and the first 3 books of the Young Merlin series by TA Baron, which I had been yearning for for a while. I had first read them in Middle School and I loved them, so I recently I was struck with the desire to read them again. Well, here they are. ♥ I will devour them as soon as...err....well, as soon as I'm done reading that ERP book I need to read for research, and then finish Through the Looking Glass, and then finish the man who mistook his wife for a hat, and then...I think that's it! XD Merlin, here I come~
On the header, it is beyond awesome, with Minho and sexy glasses and a gorgeous sunflower~! There is also a blue blue sky.♥ I love, but Ruth said that she might modify it. It went with the current layout better that I had thought though! It must be because I have a blue bias (can you even say that?), and so stuff tends to match. XD
English, where art thou? I need you to come back~! I had signed up for the school's English conversational partner program, and I got assigned to a Chinese and Turk (? My ignorance shames me...I should ask her when I meet her) student, and I will meet them this coming week. I'm kind of surprised, but I'm totally looking forward to it! I just wonder how I will bear it all once I start running people again. D: Talking to people that much has somehow reverted my brain into French. Not sure why. Must be because I run bilinguals, mostly. ?
Do I make sense? Of course I don't.
I did get 2 new icons: I changed my old Geng one into one that is appropriately dorky for me, and will remind me of the goodness that is Super Girl. ♥♥♥ SJM just kills me in all the right ways. I love the others, but, well, SJM has Shihan, and Kyumi, and Donghae, and Henry and Ryeowook, you know? ♥ The second icon is a Minho one. Because I kind of can't bear to look at the one I made anymore. I will hone my photoshop skills....never.
I told a few people, but I decided to apply for the certificate program in Public Health. I called the MD/MPH coordinator for the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio, and she said that whether I got accepted into Med School and enter the MD/MPH Dual Degree program, or I end up going through the Masters degree only (for now, because I will become Dr. Tran no matter what!!! XD), I can transfer the credits I earn. If I get accepted, I'll work on it in the Spring 2010 and maybe summer too. Only problem is that since it's non-degree seeking, I'm not eligible for any financial aid. What to do now? Stafford loans, here I come~~~~~~~~~~~
Hm, so yes. This is my life. I will be in school for at least another 8 years. :D I am totally excited. I am! After all that schooling, I think I will deserve to be called a professional nerd. (Though 'academic' would sound so much better!)
